On the field of hope ｜ Large-scale planting of Chinese herbal medicines helps enrich the people and increase income, and promotes rural revitalization

　　CCTV News:In autumn and October, the medicine fields are fragrant. At present, in Zhangxian County, Dingxi City, Gansu Province, 190,000 mu of Chinese herbal medicines have ushered in a bumper harvest.

　　At the 10,000-mu Astragalus planting base in Jinzhong Town, Zhangxian County, the villagers are busy picking up the Astragalus excavated by the machine. The cultivation of Chinese herbal medicines is an important pillar industry in the local area. This year, the planting area of Chinese herbal medicines here has reached 190,000 mu. It is estimated that the output of various Chinese herbal medicines will exceed 50,000 tons, with an output value of nearly 200 million yuan.

　　Zhangxian County is located in the south-central part of Gansu Province, in the transition zone between the West Qinling Mountains and the Loess Plateau, with an average elevation of more than 1,800 meters, which is suitable for planting Chinese herbal medicines. In order to promote the development of Chinese herbal medicine industry, 15 local demonstration sites for standardized production of Chinese herbal medicines have been established, which has achieved large-scale planting, helped enrich the people and increase income, and promoted rural revitalization.
